Women’s Power in Art and Movement

During the Sittard Art Fair (Z.A.F.) from March 12 to March 16, I will be exhibiting my work at my favorite boutique, Sam en Sara – a perfect match, as we share the same values: beauty, strength, and empowerment.

How do I stay in my power?

Creating my ceramic artwork and exhibitions involves a lot. My creative mind needs space, I need to plan carefully to complete everything on time, and then I take center stage to present and explain my work.

In addition, I have caregiving responsibilities, which are both my main role and a personal need. Providing care brings immediate appreciation and love, whereas in the creative process, that often comes much later.

This combination almost always works, but to stay focused and energized in the long run, having a sports goal helps me.

That’s why I’ve been training for the Heuvelland Half Marathon on March 16 – 21 km with 600 meters of elevation. By creating this structure in my life, I sleep and eat well – and that’s how I stay in my power.

How fitting, then, to exhibit The Female Runner with the Shortened Hind Leg – a photographic moment of movement, captured in stone – at Sam en Sara on Molenbeekstraat in Sittard.

I hope to see you there!

Best,
Esther
