A love story in ceramics

The origin of Haqiqua & Tariqa & Marifa

The sculpture ‘Haqiqua’ is part of a multi-piece artwork that depicts the process of true love. Haqiqua (truth) together with Tariqa (the path) and Marifa (mystical knowledge) form a love story in ceramics, as the beautiful result of a meeting where the connection was made directly from our hearts. It’s a story of pure love!

The sincere attention you gave me made me feel like coming home. Deep in my belly, a sun began to burn, like a radiating heat like as a fiery furnace. My entire body responded to this. I felt that something in my belly started to grow, bloom, and come to life. I was in a joyfull exceptation. The togetherness and the creation of the twins were euphoric moments that I had enjoyed. From this intense feeling, I created the sculptures Haqiqua and Tariqa. It was a process of immense joy, but also had its painful moments. The beginning was so beautiful, but then it became more challenging. Before the coaching, we had agreed that as a countermeasure of the deal, I would give a sculpture.

It was never the intention to intentionally hurt me. We decided to continue to stay in touch for some time. And from one of those encounters, another clay child, a beautiful girl was born. Who received the name Marifa (‘mystical knowledge’) from her conceptual father. With Marifa, I had another sweet girl to take care of, making it easier for me to entrust Tariqa to her father’s care.

True love is about receiving a great gift, love. It’s about experiencing joy, caring for it, and then letting it go freely. It’s about the joy of nurturing what you are entrusted with. When the time is right, you can let go with the same joy and the desire to continue living! In cooperation with performance coach: Jeroen Kosterman.
