Bearers

The ‘Bearers’ series consists of sculptures that tell my life story – what I go through, how I handle it, and how I process it. They carry and contribute. The attention I give to these sculptures is akin to the attention I give to myself. During the creative process, I become aware of my feelings and thoughts. I follow the natural movement of my hands and observe what I have created. By listening to my hands, I’m actually listening to my inner voice, my heart. Together, they come to life in the theater that narrates my own life. They are at play, taking space on the stage. And I watch and learn from them.
